Toddler Tales Week 34: Pease

This week was much of the same old stuff mixed with a bit of the new:
-Asher found much enjoyment in playing with and trying on all of our shoes.
-I FINALLY got around to taking his 19 month photos, even though at the time he was very close to 20 months.
-We got a little taste of Spring as a portion of the week was sunny and in the 40's.  Hard to believe that is something to get excited about, but we'll take what we can get, and Asher, Emma and I enjoyed a nice walk to soak it up!
-We had our snuggles
-We enjoyed another Saturday morning at the pool
-On Friday night, we enjoyed a family dinner at Culver's.  For anyone not on the E-Club, you need to join.  Eric, Asher & I got a total of three burgers, two fries, two soft drinks, milk, applesauce, and two bowls of ice cream for under $5!  What.A.Deal!  :)  We had invited a couple of our friends to join us, but everyone else had plans.  To make up for missing out though, our friends Britni and Fabien invited us over for dinner the next night, where we enjoyed some tasty crock-pot BBQ chicken and chocolate fondue for dessert.  The food, company and conversation were all great!

A cool, but pretty morning in K-Town.

More fun with shoes.  This picture makes me laugh as it always reminds me of the kids from Where the Wild Things Are

Practice makes perfect.  Or as my ex-basketball coach said, "perfect practice, makes perfect", right?

So to wrap this up, I will tell you another one of Asher's new words: "Pease" (aka please).  As you may have noticed he is gradually talking more and more and it seems every week he has a word that he uses all of the time.  This week the word was please.  It wasn't exactly a new word, as he already knew it, but maybe he is finally figuring out the benefits of politeness and manners?  Whatever the reason Eric and I heard the word constantly all week.  Everything that he wanted he would say, "pease", to the point that I was about to go crazy at the end of my day off with him.  He seems to think it is a magic word (I supposed people do tell their kids that), that will automatically give him whatever he wants.  Often, you will have no idea what that want even is, but he will say "pease" to you a good hundred times, until you figure it out.  Good times.
