Easter in the U.P. 2019

This year as has been our tradition, we headed up to Mom and Dad's house for the Easter Weekend.  It was our first time traveling with our little miss and she did great, sleeping almost the entire way.

We arrived at their home in the mid afternoon and the weather was a gorgeous spring day full of sunshine so we got to 'work' playing outside!
Leading up to our travels North, Avery kept talking about the 'spehtti' game that Grandma and Papa had.  I had no idea what he was talking about but as soon as we go there, he headed to the game closet and pulled it out to play with me.

When the 'spehtti' game was done, Avery continued to find other gems in the game closet to play with me.

Even though Hazel slept almost the entire drive to the U.P., she was still needing some snuggles and rest with Daddy that afternoon.

Even in the U.P., the current Pokemon craze of the boys (all 3 of them) continues and surprisingly there were even Pokemon in the rural Nadeau area!

On Saturday, we enjoyed a lazy morning at the house and then headed to Carney for the annual Lion's Club Easter Egg Hunt.

I love this pictures!  It captures Avery's excitement as he runs off in search of eggs! :)

While the boys searched for eggs, Hazel snuggled with Papa.

When the egg hunt was over, we headed back to the house where Eric and Mom entertained the kids while I took a much-needed nap.  When I woke up, there was more fun to be had including stained 'glass' painting, egg coloring, chalk coloring, gator rides and more!

Asher actually helped us color eggs too, but I didn't get any pictures of him as he was not really into it and did his too quickly to get it done and go play.

Hazel's first gator ride!

Despite the look on her face, she did seem to enjoy it!

(2) Videos: Hazel's Laughs
At this time, Hazel was 3.5 months old and had just started to laugh.  We had noticed that she tends to laugh at odd things like silly noises that Avery makes and Asher's coughs.  This weekend was no different as she cracked up over the slamming sound of the gator door and the silly noises of Papa...

On Sunday it was (of course) Easter!  The kids woke up early and excited and were immediately ready to begin their hunt, but I made them wait until Eric woke up.  As soon as he was out of bed, they were off and running! :)

Aren't they adorable!?  ;P

When the hunt was over, Grandma made the boys some bunny pancakes (which turned out MUCH better than than the Gremlin versions she made last year) and then it was time to head to church.

After church I had to take a few (or a LOT) of photos of baby girl in her adorable Easter dress...and then after packing up we headed off to my cousin Mike's house for lunch.

When lunch at Mike's was over, the kids enjoyed another Easter Egg Hunt and then it was time to head back home.  There we had one more hunt as the kids discovered that the "tomb" was empty again and they set out to find their baskets at home.  It was another weekend full of fun and WAY too much candy!
