Hazel's 2nd Birthday

Today was Hazel's 2nd Birthday!!  How 2 years with our Little Miss Sunshine have passed already I have no idea, yet here we are.  Since we were self-isolating at home, we got to enjoy her day with her while also attempting to work and school.

The boys couldn't wait for her to open a present so we let her open one in hopes it might keep her busy for a bit while we worked.  It didn't.

Avery also had a homemade gift for his little sis.

I bought a bunch of leis for her celebration dinner and the party we planned to have (which has yet to happen).  Hazel has decided that all 36 of them are HERS!

Asher couldn't help but spend his morning school breaktime with the Birthday Girl.

And Daddy needed a dance with the Birthday Girl.

In the afternoon, when school was done, Avery and Hazel snuggled up together to watch a movie...what else but Moana of course!?

For dinner that night we picked up Mission BBQ, deciding that was close to "Luau Food".  It was quite tasty, but Hazel's favorite part of dinner was EASILY drinking out of the pineapple cups I ordered on Amazon! :) 🍍

While Eric went out to pick up dinner, the kids and I enjoyed a little birthday dance party.

FB Post: Two. Not sure how we got here so fast, but here we are. The past year was tough and I cannot imagine having lived it without this little ray of sunshine in our family. This year Hazel learned to walk, and although she is slowly learning to talk, she has no problems letting us know what she wants/needs/thinks. She loves her baby and blankets (ALl.OF.THEM) fiercely and gets incredibly bossy when she wants to eat. She consistently sneaks candy whenever we forget to lock the pantry and loves to play with anything of her brothers. She is tough and loves to wrestle but also loves dresses and accessorizing. She loves books and would read all night long if we allowed it. She is silly and sassy, quirky and now a two year old going on threenager. We couldn’t possibly love her more and look forward to the year ahead with her! Happy birthday baby girl! #littlemisssunshine

After dinner, we headed into the living room so that Hazel could open her presents.  After the never-ending parade of presents for Christmas just 2 weeks prior, she was now a PRO at tearing into her gifts!

Once all of Hazel's presents were opened and we'd finished talking with Gramps and Grammy, it was time to have some cake!  Eric had picked up a small unicorn cake at Meijer and we sang to our little girl.  Her favorite part was blowing out the candle, so we let her do it again and again...because the birthday girl gets what she wants! ;)

After our dessert, we gave the Birthday Girl a little time to play with her new toys before putting our new 2-year-old to bed.

When I asked Hazel to pick out some jammies before bed, she proceeded to empty her entire pajama drawer and then jump into the pile of clothes that she created! 😆  Silly Girl!

Eventually the day had to come to a close, but considering we didn't go anywhere or do anything real amazing I'd say it was a pretty great day!  Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
