Southern Vaca Day 8: Home Sweet Home

Friday, July 22 was our last day in the South.  We woke up at our friends' home in Atlanta, said goodbye to Jen and Stephen before they went off to work and had some fun playing in the pool with all of the kids.  Then it was time to clean up, pack up and head back to the airport for our flight back to Milwaukee.

Before we left the Wohlers' residence, we said our goodbyes to our little friends.  They were so cute all lined up on the front step!

I can't quite tell if Catie is trying to pull away or not?

After saying our goodbyes, we headed back to the airport.  Since it was lunch time I passed out snacks for the boys to munch on in the car.  Then once we got settled in the airport, we got some pizza and made some new little friends.
Avery very proud of his stacked cup and snacks.

All together!

Our flight back to Milwaukee went pretty well.  We were all tired, but unfortunately no one but Eric and I really had a desire to sleep.  Asher spent the trip coloring, eating snacks and watching a movie on Eric's phone, while I tried to keep our little crazy man as contained as possible.  Eventually, I needed a break so Eric and I switched kiddos (we had two extra seats since the plane wasn't full) and then Avery decided only about 15 minutes from landing that he was ready for a nap.

We got home at around 5 or 6pm that evening and the boys were SUPER exited to be back home although surprisingly it was even warmer at home than it had been in Atlanta!  Asher was especially excited to introduce his new black bear buddy to the rest of the buddy crew.  He started out making a small bed for a few of his favorites, but as his excitement to be home grew, so did the buddies' sleeping arrangements! ;)  It was a great vacation, but it was good to be home.
