At six months of age our baby girl is really developing her personality. She is a sweet little peanut with a touch of sass. I fear we may be in serious trouble once she becomes mobile, which could literally be any day now. 99% of the time Hazel is a smiley little girl. She loves her momma something fierce (much to my delight) but also is thrilled to spend time with her Daddy and brothers. Anytime the boys come around she immediately gets a big smile on her face.
She really craves attention, but also plays on her own surprisingly well. I guess you have to when you're the third child. While there is usually someone around to play with her, there are also several times when there is a lot going on and she has to entertain herself for a while.

Her eyes are still a bright blue and while I'd love for one of our babies to keep their baby blues, I'm pretty sure they will become green in the not too distant future like everyone else in our family.
The most exciting first for this 6th month was that Hazel got to experience camping for the first time, and it went surprisingly well. Night time was a little difficult, but we made it work. That said, sleep-wise our little princess does ok. She takes some fairly predictable naps during the day (usually a morning nap around 9 and an afternoon nap around 2) and sleeps for most of the night, but still gets up one or two times a night for some snuggles with me.
Another exciting event was the arrival of her second tooth and the introduction to solid foods near the end of the month. She was sooooo ready for solids! Every time we ate in front of her she would try to grab what we had if it was within reach and even if it wasn't within reach she would mimic us and practice chewing while we ate.
At her 6 month check-up (which was a couple weeks after she turned 6 months) Hazel measured in at 26" tall (41%) with a 17" head circumference (70%) and she weighed 17.03 pounds (61%). At the same age Asher was 28.5" tall/18.4" head and 19.75 pounds while Avery was 28" tall/17.7" head and 17.9.
Lastly, the most exciting thing to Hazel this month was her new "trick". Shortly before she turned 6 months of age she started doing this thing where she waves her hands all over and hit them together. It is obvious when she does it that she is very convinced she is doing something important, but we have no idea what it is. If I make a noise like I am scared or surprised when she does it though she laughs almost every time. I love it! :)
