Like everything else, Easter this year was weird. Usually we head up to my parents' house on Good Friday and spend the Easter weekend with them. We enjoy the Lion's Club egg hunt, the choir's Easter cantata and lunch at my cousins, but not this year. Instead, we had a very quiet Easter Sunday at home. I missed my family and I missed getting to visit with friends and extended family up north, but we did our best to make the most of it.
That morning after Hazel woke, Eric let her have her own little egg hunt upstairs before we took her down. We knew that she had little chance beating her brothers to the eggs once they were in on the hunt as well, so we gave her a little time to enjoy the fun on her own...and some M&Ms.

Once she'd found a couple of eggs and discovered what was inside we took her downstairs to hunt for her basket and more eggs with her brothers...

Avery was REALLY into the egg hunt. Asher on the other hand looked until he found his basket and then really didn't care to continue his search.

The night before Easter, Avery mentioned what a great hiding spot it would be for the Easter Bunny to place an egg in Hazel's scooter...Thus, I just couldn't resist. He was so excited! :)

Once everyone found their baskets, we enjoyed looking through the goodies that the Bunny brought and then called Grandma and Papa to wish them a Happy Easter. After that, we got cleaned up for Easter church (in the living room).

Even though we had no where to be that day, I still couldn't pass up an opportunity to dress of our little lady.

After church, we all piled into the van and headed out on a scavenger hunt put on by Kenosha Bible Church. It was nice to have a reason to get out and about and we even saw the Easter Bunny driving around in a convertible while we out! :P

After the KBC egg hunt we headed back home for a restful afternoon. We took naps and then a made a yummy dinner of roasted pork tenderloin and potatoes (which Eric and I enjoyed and the kids complained about). It wasn't the most eventful of days, but it was a good day and in the end the only thing that really matters anyway is Jesus! HE IS RISEN!
