A2H 2020.45-46 - Back at It

Well, here I am at the start of 2021 still hoping to someday catch up in my blogging.  Baby steps...

A2H Week 2020.45 was the start of November, which for us meant mostly normal life + the U.S. election...

A2H Week 2020.45

Monday, November 2:

I love that Avery's Kindergarten teacher posts so much of their class on the school FB page.  It is so fun to see pictures of our adorable guy and what he is up to during the week.

Hazel loves to dance these days and on this night I caught her turning on the music of one of her toys and shaking her booty. ;)

Tuesday, November 3: Today was election day.  Since I had never gotten around to early voting, I left the house as soon as the polls opened to cast my vote before work.  With COVID there was a long line outside around the church building, but thankfully it went quickly and I was on my way in under 20 minutes.

On this day Avery also wasn't feeling very well, so Eric took him to the Children's clinic to get a COVID test.  Thankfully the test was negative, but when they needed to use the bathroom, both were amused to find the BIGGEST changing table they'd ever seen! :)

Wednesday, November 4:

Hazel is growing up so quickly these days and loves to try things on her own...like getting dressed...even in Daddy's socks.

Hazel is also a BIG fan of buddies these days and often has so many buddies and blankets in her crib there seems to be little room left for her...thankfully she's small! :)

Friday, November 6:
FB Post: Friday morning vibes #littlemisssunshine

Hazel is getting more and more interested in books and loves to read...today though her reading selections were a bit ambitious ;)

After her bath on Friday I asked her to go and get some socks to wear from her room.  This is what she got for me.

Our little lady also enjoys dressing up these days.  Today she left me in the living room for a few minutes and came back looking like this! :)

That afternoon/evening the kids and I took part in a COVID birthday parade to wish Avery's friend Charlie a happy 6th.

That night, with the unusually warm November weather, we decided to enjoy a fire with pie-iron sandwiches for dinner and s'mores for dessert. 💗

FB Post: Lovin’ this not-so-fall weather!

Saturday, November 7: The next day the warm weather continued, so I showed the kids one of my tween favs and we watched D2 on the 'Big Screen' outside.

FB Post: Two things:
1. For those that didn’t know me back in the day, I was precisely THIS cool! 😂
2. We took advantage of another unseasonably warm fall day for an outdoor movie night...one of my tween-day favs: D2: The Mighty Ducks 💜🏒

Sunday, November 8: We ended week 45 with church.  Attending church during a pandemic is interesting.  We are always late (not that the pandemic has anything to do with that) so we typically end up in the overflow room/gym with a handful of other families.  This means that we watch church virtually on the screen, but it is still nice to be with a few other people and honestly being in the gym works for us better.  This is because while the boys can go to children's church during the sermon (with masks) there is no nursery/toddler care which means Hazel has to stay with us.  It is quite understandable that we are one of the only families that bothers coming to church with small kids because keeping them quiet is no easy task.  However, attending church is still worth it and week by week we are learning how to keep Hazel entertained and as quiet as possible.

A2H Week 2020.46

Monday, November 9: This week started out with a beautiful SunFlower made by Avery to brighten up my office.

Tuesday, November 10: This week was Friendship Week at the boys' school.  Today they had Rainbow of Colors Day with the Kindergarteners wearing red and the 3rd Graders wearing green.

Wednesday, November 11: Red, White & Blue Day

Thursday, November 12: Today was Twin Day

Friday, November 13: After school today, the weekend started out with Asher and Hazel playing together. I really hope these two are buddies for life.  They are so sweet to each other.💗

FB Post: Eric shared this with me this morning. ✌️ to all you other moms out there juggling the holidays again!

Saturday, November 14 & Sunday November 15: Finally we closed out the week with some more lazy family time at home.

Unlike the typical the I mentioned for church above, this week we were seated in the main sanctuary at church and basically spent the entire hour distracting everyone around me and picking up all of the crayons that Hazel repeatedly dumped on the floor.🙈

I pampered myself in preparation of the U.P. holiday of Hunting Season! ;)
