Baby Life Week 7: Grandma Fun

As I mentioned in my previous post, Eric & I kidnapped Grandma when we went home from the UP, so that she could be our slave for the week!  :)  Okay, not really.  Convincing her to come down and spend the week with her newest grandson was not difficult at all.  She came down with us on Monday and then Dad came down on Friday to get her.  The three of us (Mom, Asher & I) spent the week hanging out at home, while Eric went to work.  It was so great to have her here.  She helped watch Asher while I got some naps, got to spend some time visiting with her and also got some things done that have been on my to-do list for the past 2 months.  She and Asher really hit it off.  Prior to this week, he was just starting to smile and coo.  We have been seeing smiles pretty much since he was born, but it was just gas.  It wasn't until about the 6th week that we started seeing smiles that seemed like more than that.  When Mom came down, the smiles and cooing really took off.  Apparently Asher thinks Grandma K is pretty funny...as he should, since she acts pretty goofy for her grandson.  They had a good time together, which is what most of the pictures from this week show.  Thanks to Mom we have clean windows, rugs, floors, laundry and we were able to eat really well for the week (I tried to convince her to move in, but to no avail).  Even better, we will continue to eat well for a while since she filled our freezer with lasagna, meatloaf and barbecue beef.  Thank you for coming Mom!  It was really great to have you and we really appreciate everything that you did for us while you were here! :)

August 14, 2012 (Tuesday): Mom, Asher & I just hung out for the day, and then Mom babysat for us while we interviewed a possible daycare lady.

August 15, 2012 (Wednesday): I got a good morning nap while Mom & Asher hung out more.  Then we went all over town running errands and making returns...which is a bit easier when you have someone to help out with the baby.

August 16, 2012 (Thursday): Mom cooked up a storm for us today & then we went out to run some more errands.

August 17, 2012 (Friday): Mom helped me watch Asher as we both got a ton of things down around the house.  It felt so good to finally get some items crossed off my list!

At the end of the day today, Eric's cousin Pete (who was in the area on business) came over to meet Asher & see our house...the first of the extend Migrin clan to do so!
