Owliaei-Migrin Wedding Reception

Finally after a long day of decorating, taking photos, mingling and watching the wedding itself it was time to PARTY!  The club staff had finished transforming the reception hall from the wedding venue to the reception venue and we were allowed in to start the dinner and celebration of Rob and Negin's nuptials!

We found our table, got settled in and once the new couple arrived and was announced we followed them off to get our dinner...after some silly selfies as we waited.

The kids enjoyed some Kiddie Cocktails while we waited for dinner.

Avery, Asher & Emmett started getting down as soon as the DJ started up some background music for everyone to enjoy during dinner

When the dinner was over the kids were in desperate need of some fresh air.  They headed outside to the balcony and Asher (who was WAAAAYYYY over tired and having a little crisis after having gotten scratched on the face) and I took a little walk.  I returned to the reception hall just time time to hear the toasts.

While we enjoyed the toasts inside, the kids continued playing on the balcony outside...direclty behind us....not sure if anyone else could see the noses literally pressed up to the glass as we listened to the toasts.

When the toasts were finished up it was finally the part of the day that Avery had been waiting for all day: Cake!  We watched as Negin and Rob cut their cake (thankful it was finally going away so I no longer had to worry about one of the kids knocking it down) and soon after we all got to enjoy a slice.  Avery was thrilled! ;)

Avery wanted some attention from Uncle Rob.  He is trying to wave 'Hi'.  Rob didn't notice so he went over to him.

While they took the cake to the back to slice the music and lights for the dance started up and the kids grabbed the opportunity to enjoy the open dance floor before the party really got going.

When it was time, we cleared the kids from the dance floor and then Rob and his mom officially kicked things off with a mother-son dance, followed by a mother-daughter dance of Negin and her mother (& later sister as well).

Finally, Rob and Negin opened up the dance floor with a dance of their own.

When the personal dances were over the open dance party began AND Avery finally got his cake!  It was every bit as good as we'd hoped! :)

I had also hoped that the cake and dance would give Asher (who was totally over-tired, cranky and very whiney) a burst of energy to make it at the wedding a little longer, but unfortunately that wasn't the case.  Despite our best efforts to get him to have fun he wasn't in the mood and eventually we had to send him and Avery back to the hotel early with my parents.  Avery on the other hand had a blast right up until it was time to leave.

Pretty much the cutest thing ever: Avery & Olive dancing! <3

As the dancing raged on and the evening got late Eric and I were ready to call it quits after an amazing day.  We took a little time to rest up in the lobby while Eric enjoyed some French fries from the evening Coney Dog/Fry buffet.  Then after watching Rob and Negin enjoy their last dance of the evening we said our goodbyes, drove back to our hotel and quickly passed out from exhaustion.
Dave & Emmett hitting up the mini Coney Dog buffet.  (I am not interested by Coney Dogs but the half-size buns were incredibly cute!)
