Labor Day Weekend (with ALL Our Family!)

For Labor Day weekend, Eric and I took Friday off (in addition to the holiday Monday) to enjoy a long weekend at the cottage.  Not only were we able to spend an awesome weekend with Eric's family, but my family was able to join us making it extra special!  Beyond that, I don't really have any big stories to share, so I will let the photos (lots of photos) do the talking...mostly.  

I will say a quick thank you also as the photo thieves have struck again...thanks to our parents (Asher's grandparents as several of these pictures are from their cameras!)  Love you guys! ;)

Asher got to sleep in Eric's old crib.  It is a drop-side, but don't worry we fixed it so that the side cannot come down.  Asher enjoyed the bounciness of the old springs and had a good time bouncing on them!

Michigan Football season began this weekend!  Asher is sporting his Michigan onesie with a pair of Michigan pants that our friend Allison made for him...SO CUTE!

Asher now has three cousins (& one on the way) that were all there.  Emmett is still too young to take advantage of the beach, but Asher, Micah & Caleb enjoyed it to its fullest!

I have no idea what Asher is doing in this picture, but I think it is hilarious!  It makes me smile every time I see it!

Uncle Rob also got in on the action.

Since the weather was beautiful, we enjoyed all of our meals outside...making it MUCH easier with Asher (less clean-up afterwards).

We also enjoyed a lot of our time in the hammock.

 All of the playing and fresh air made our little guy very tired (although the events of the some of the evenings would make it seem otherwise).

Asher enjoyed a lot of time playing with his grandparents (it is a rare event that he gets attention from all four of them in the same weekend) and the grandparents got to love on their little ones.

We enjoyed a boat ride and a trip to the ice cream store.

Asher also got to play with all of his cousins!

Although Asher loves to play on the beach these days and loves water, the lake still kind of freaks him out.  I don't know if it is the waves, the fact that it is kind of dark, or the temperature, but like his Momma he prefers to stay out of it...so we watched everyone else enjoy it.

Asher didn't like that his Daddy was out swimming and not on shore playing with him, so Daddy came to give Asher a little love.

Eric's mom wanted to try out my parents' kayaks so she and Eric's dad went out.  Eric's dad quickly decided that kayaking was not for him, but I think his mom enjoyed herself.

Eric took all of the big boys for jet ski rides.  Aaron and Erika better watch out for when Caleb is older, from what I heard, he is going to be a thrill-seeker.  Eric started out slow with him and every time he asked Caleb if he wanted to go faster, Caleb said yes!

Again, Asher didn't like that his Daddy left him, so we spent most of the time Eric was out jet-skiing waving at Daddy  :)

On Monday morning, after an awesome weekend, we had to head back home.  Before we left we took advantage of having all of Asher's grandparents together with him...a photo opp.

On the drive home, we saw this...I had to snap a picture for our friend Jen who is a fan of the minions! :)
