After five days in Florida, it was time to head back home to Wisconsin. With our flight at 11am, it didn't leave us much time to enjoy more vacationing before heading to the airport. Eric and I got up, got ourselves and the kids ready and then loaded up the car. While we worked on that, Eric's mom entertained the kids, which for Asher meant playing in the puddles (or muddles as he titled them) from the rainfall of the night before.

Once everything was loaded up and set to go, we headed back to the beach one last time to take a few pictures before saying goodbye to Pass-A-Grille.

When all of our final photos were taken and we had said our goodbyes to Grandma, we piled into the car with Eric's dad to head back to the airport. Traveling through the airport is definitely a much bigger task with children, but we survived the ordeal and were thankful for the patience and help of others (especially at the security checkpoint which took FOREVER to run all of our stuff through!). We said our goodbyes to the warm Florida air and boarded our plane. Within minutes of take-off, Asher was passed out and slept for the first half of the flight. Avery, on the other hand, spent the entire three hours wiggling all over the place.

At around 1:00pm our time, we landed back in Milwaukee to be greeted by fresh-fallen snow (the person that watched Emma while we were gone said that it was basically a blizzard outside earlier that morning). Asher introduced Ho-Ho (aka Jake) to Wisconsin and then after getting our luggage and our snow-covered van we headed back to the real world, where vacations are nothing more than memories... ...at least until next time! :)
