I'm more than a month behind, but on September 6th our little lady turned 8 months old!
This month, Hazel didn't grow any more teeth and still only had the two teeth that she cut over the summer. However, she does continue to grow in size. Since she was 6.5 months old, she grew 1/2" in height and and head circumference and gained 1 pound 6 ounces. This put her at 2" shorter than Avery at the same age, but only 4 ounces lighter (chunky monkey)! Eric (lovingly) says she is in her "fat stage" of baby life as she just started moving around, but is now getting real foods.
Speaking of crawling, she did become entirely mobile this month and has mastered the army crawl. She also mastered making sounds with her mouth. She loves to make fart noises and often has a stream of spit running down her chin from doing so. She also likes making sure that everyone hears her with her loud squeals and "talking"/yelling.
She is a very inquisitive little girl and always wants to know what is going on around her. I think she may be my most curious baby yet (Little Miss Nosy) and fear that she may also be the craziest of the three! :P
Right on cue for her development, she also seems to have some separation anxieties and usually isn't too happy when Mommy leaves her behind. We recently started putting her in the nursery at church and she is often a challenge for them. It is a hard time because she also usually takes a nap during this time, so that combined with Mommy and Daddy dropping her off with strangers has been tough on her.
Other than that there isn't much else to report. I do have to say that I LOVE the baby stage! Watching as my littles grow and learn at such a rapid rate brings me so much joy. Our Hazel Grace is a very happy little baby and really just goes with the flow. She seems pretty much content in most situations as long as she isn't too hungry or tired and we all couldn't be more thrilled to have her as part of our blessed little family!
