This Saturday was a beautiful day and the perfect afternoon to spend at our local pumpkin farm. The experience was a little different than past years, as everything has been this year, but we masked-up and made the most of it.
First we toured the pumpkin cartoon/movie scenes...

| Hazel's favorite: Moana! |
Frozen
Scooby Doo
Trolls
| The Mandalorian |
| Star Wars |
| The Nightmare Before Christmas |
| Minions |
Checking out an ambulance together (hopefully this is as close to one as we ever need to get!)
When we'd finished touring the pumpkin scenes we bought some wristbands and headed over to the other half of the farm. Our first stop was to see all of the animals at the petting farm areas. This was easily Hazel's favorite part of the day. She was a giddy little girl watching all of the animals and desperately wanted to be brave enough to pet and feed them but usually lost her nerve at the last second.
The look on Hazel's face when she saw the giraffe was priceless! It was like she knew that it was an animal that didn't really belong there and she was both surprised and amused by it.
After watching others feed the animals, I convinced Eric to shell out the money so that our kids could feed them as well. I mean, it is something we only do once a year, right? ;P

After we had our fill of the animals and ran out of food for them, we headed over to the play equipment on the farm. We did our best to socially distance ourselves from others while also trying to enjoy ourselves together.
Hazel wasn't too keen on walking through this big tube.
Eric had to show her it wasn't scary.
She eventually decided she'd give it a try.
Running and jumping on the hay bales is always a favorite of the kids.

(4) Videos: Fun on the Hay Bales
Walking through the corn maze.
Eric and the boys invented a new game: Corn Wars
Eric's Joke. Get it?

Finally, before we headed home we took our custom family pictures in front of the farm truck and then it was time to head home until next year.
While we went to the farm, we let Emma stay in the living room because we had just mopped and polished the kitchen/dining room floor. When we returned we found her exactly where she shouldn't be, but in her old age she didn't immediately jump down when she saw us. Instead she just looked at us.
