This week began the day after Asher's 2nd Birthday party with a sigh of relief. It is not like I didn't enjoy the party or putting it together, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy it was over. It is nice to have that behind us and look forward to a bit more normal living...even if this week wasn't exactly normal. Instead it was still crazy busy, as we celebrated Asher's actual birthday, spent time with family, tried to get things done at work and got ready for our vacation. Even so, having the party behind us made it all at least seem a little more relaxing. So without further adieu, week 53 in the Migrin household:
It all started on Sunday morning with a bit of fun with Eric's parents before they had to head back home. Asher had a good time playing with Grandma and Grandpa before church, and then after church we had a quick lunch of party leftovers and then headed downtown for the Kenosha Veterans (4th of July) Parade.

At the parade, we found a great spot right in front of Eric's office building, which gave us a good view and some shade. I was excited to finally be able to take Asher to a bigger parade after the Memorial Day Parade that we went to in Quincy, Michigan being a major bummer. There was no candy at this parade or even a lot of decorations, but it was at least much more interesting and there were a lot of fire trucks, which is all that our little guy really cared about. When the trucks went by, he couldn't even close his mouth. His jaw was floored in complete awe!

| Waiting for the parade to start. Even though it was about 90 degrees, Asher insisted on tucking himself and Mic Mouse under the blanket we brought to sit on. |

| The daughter of Asher's daycare provider is 13 and was marching with a band in the parade. Since Asher has a total crush on her, Eric took him down closer to the street to get a better view! |

After we got back from the parade, we said goodbye to Eric's parents and then headed straight to nap time (Well, Asher did. Eric and I enjoyed a movie together on the couch). When the little man woke up, we went outside to enjoy more of the summer weather with his water table and the hose.

On Monday, it was Asher's 2nd birthday and we had a great time celebrating as a family, but more on that later....
Because of the 4th of July holiday, I had to work Monday-Thursday which meant no day off with my little man until the end of the week. Thankfully though, the week passed quickly and before we knew it, Friday was here!

Before we left on Friday (the 4th) for our vacation, I took a few minutes to take Asher's last monthly pictures (24 Months/2 Years). It is a good thing that we're done because getting him to cooperate these days is almost impossible!
